GRP systems made by P-TREX are designed to ensure the highest possible standards of safety and protection in all airport and port facilities and for boating. Frangibile and radio-transparent fencing protects sensitive areas of airports. In adverse climatic conditions, GRP structures offer excellent mechanical performance combined with high resistance to corrosion, which contribute to extending the service life of the structures and the consequent elimination of maintenance costs.
In fact, fiberglass is the most sought-after composite material among nautical and marine sector, because it resists over time to corrosion deriving from atmospheric agents, such as wind and salt, and from the agents of brackish environments which instead lead to high levels of corrosion in steel structures or iron.
P-TREX S structures, whether temporary or permanent, are designed and built according to each project needs and conditions, in terms of mechanical requirements, type of environment, fire behaviour etc.
All this, in compliance with the EN ISO 14122 “Permanent means of access to machinery” and other regulations in force.
The composite material walkways of P-TREX contribute to the completion of the new bridge over the Brembo river, a public work characterised by the cycling-pedestrian footbridge in GRP.
P-Trex supports the Port Authority of Western Sicily in the construction of a nautical gangplank in FRP, guaranteeing speed of installation and reducing maintenance costs.
