Differently from the traditional aluminium in the rail sector, the composite material stands out for its electrical insulation and radio-transparency, besides its durability and absence of maintenance.
P-TREX F and P-TREX S are widely used in the railway sector for fencing off and protecting electricity stations and substations and where electrical, thermal and magnetic insulation is required as well as radio transparency, they do not require earthing.
P-TREX S structures, whether temporary or permanent, are designed and built according to each project needs and conditions, in terms of mechanical requirements, type of environment, fire behaviour etc.
All this, in compliance with the EN ISO 14122 “Permanent means of access to machinery” and other regulations in force.
The amagnetic FRP fencing systems manufactured by P-TREX have been chosen by Rail Baltica to fence the most demanding 24 km of the rail line, where weather and ground conditions require high level of resistance.
